New Luxor

A transfer will pick you up at the hotel gates and you will head towards Luxor, collecting tourists from other hotels (the time allocated for collecting the entire group is approximately 1.5 hours). The road to Luxor takes 4.5 hours.

The first stop will be the Luxor Temple. The temple is dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. It was here that the Opet Festival, dedicated to fertility and abundance, was held. You will walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes, which connects the Karnak and Luxor temples. This is the very path where the priestly processions took place during the festivities.

Then, you will have lunch at a national cuisine restaurant right on the banks of the Nile.

The second stop will be at the Colossi of Memnon—the last remains of what was once the magnificent Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III.

The third stop will be the Mortuary Temple of Medinet Habu (Temple of Ramesses III), located in the Valley of the Dead. The temple walls depict the life of the Pharaoh and his military achievements. In many places, the frescoes have preserved their sharp outlines and original colors.

The fourth stop will be the Valley of the Nobles (The Theban Necropolis). There are no royal tombs here; instead, this is where priests, governors, military leaders, nobles, courtiers, and treasurers were buried. The tomb walls depict the daily life and customs of the people of that era, and the tombs themselves have been preserved in ideal condition.

The fifth stop will be an Alabaster Factory, where you can see how alabaster souvenirs are created and purchase figurines as gifts.

For those interested, an optional Nile boat trip can be organized, including a visit to Banana Island. There, you can stroll through fruit groves, relax, and enjoy fresh seasonal fruits. If you do not wish to take the boat trip, you can spend this time resting in the air-conditioned bus while it transfers from one bank to the other.
