At night, the bus will pick you up at the hotel gates and you will head towards Cairo, collecting tourists from other hotels (the time allocated for collecting the entire group is approximately 1.5 hours). The road to Cairo takes 7 hours.
The first stop will be the old National Museum in Tahrir Square. It houses the second-largest collection of artifacts from the ancient Egyptian era. A Russian-speaking historical guide will be with you at all times, sharing many interesting and educational facts about ancient Egypt and more.
Then you will be taken to lunch at a national cuisine restaurant on the banks of the Nile. After that, if you wish, you can take a boat ride on the Nile. If you don’t want to go, you can rest in the air-conditioned bus during this time.
The second stop will be a visit to the Giza plateau with the great pyramids and the Sphinx. Near the pyramids, you will be given 40 minutes of free time to walk and take photos.
The third stop is a visit to oil and papyrus shops.
Afterward, you will be taken to dinner and then to the hotel where you will stay for the night.
Around 7:00 AM, the bus will pick you up at the hotel to head to Alexandria. The journey takes 3 hours. You will have breakfast on the bus (a dry ration/lunch box provided by the hotel).
The first stop will be the Royal Park and Montaza Palaceโthe summer residence of the former Egyptian King Farouk. The palace is currently closed to visitors due to reconstruction, but you can view it from the outside and enjoy a walk through the beautiful park.
Next, there will be a stop at the Library of Alexandria. You will also visit the Ancient Roman Amphitheaterโthe only preserved amphitheater in Egypt from the Roman era.
The final stop will be a visit to the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the original site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
